Mrs Angela Knight is the Chair of the Office of Tax Simplification for HM Treasury; the Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of TP ICAP Plc, the largest global interdealer broker; an independent Non-Executive Director of the UK housebuilder Taylor Wimpey Plc; and specialist finance company Provident Financial Plc. She has served on a number of other UK company boards and has been the CEO of Energy UK, the British Bankers’ Association, and the Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers.
Mr Gregory Tanzer is a qualified solicitor and barrister with extensive financial regulator experience in Australia. He served as a Commissioner of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and Secretary General of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions.
Mr Mukhtar Bubeyev is a qualified professional in banking supervision and financial services sector. Previously he headed banking supervision at the Financial Markets Supervision Agency of Kazakhstan. He also served as board member of Kazakhstan’s central bank responsible for monetary policy.
Mr Bubeyev served in capacity of Chief Executive Officer of the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) from 9 July 2018 till 17 March 2022.
Executive Body
Evgeniya has over 25 years of experience working on international financial markets. Before joining AFSA, Evgeniya had led for five years Regulation & Compliance at the Astana International Exchange (“AIX”), supervising listings of financial instruments, market conduct of AIX trading members, developing regulatory framework for AIX market participants and enforcing compliance therewith, as well as overseeing the AIX Group’s functions in compliance, corporate governance, risk management and internal audit. Prior to joining the AIX, Evgeniya had managed Legal and Corporate Governance affairs at investment bank Renaissance Capital.
While practicing law at White & Case, she advised on a broad range of securities products and cross-border capital markets matters, representing leading global investment banks, major corporations, sovereigns and funds.
She began her career at the Federal Commission for the Securities Market where she was involved in policymaking for Russian securities market and the adoption of global standards supported by international development institutions.
With an extensive background in financial supervision, capital markets, and regulatory expertise, Vladimir brings over two decades of leadership experience from his roles in both the private and public sectors.
Previously serving as the Deputy Chair at the Financial Supervision Commission of Bulgaria, Vladimir has overseen various facets of financial regulation, including insurance, capital markets supervision, and consumer protection. His experience spans global financial institutions and government agencies, where he has led teams, driven innovative regulatory practices, and played a key role in policy development.
